You are walking in the streets and you see a purse that you want to buy. You realize that you have 20 dollars in your pocket. They are so pretty that you want to buy all colors of the same design. There are 4 designs-red, yellow, purple, and pink. Then suddenly, you think of your 4 best friends that you want to share the purse with. The next day, your best friend envied the way how you shared your belongings with friends, so she wanted to try it out too. She, however only had $8 in her purse. Because of the little money, she could only buy 2 of her friends something the same price as the purse. Your friend had decided to buy 1 rings for 2 friends. If the cost of the purse and the ring are equal, what are their prices?

There are two subjects - purses and rings - so it's kind of confusing. Also, the wording in the 'four friends' part is hard to understand because it sounds like I'm going to buy five purses, one for me. And where's the 1/4 part? :)

There are 4 designs-red, yellow, purple, and pink. Then you feel generous so you keep one-fourths of the remaining money and gave the rest to your friends. The next day, your BFF was jealous of the attention you were getting, and decided to buy purses as well. She, however, only had $8 in her purse. Because of the little money, she could only buy 2 purses for her friends. If they both had the same amount of money remaining, how much does each purse cost?

  6. It's kind of hard to understand. I think it's better to write shorter and make it more understandable. You had some grammar mistake but it didn't really affect understanding you story. Also, when you said "There are 4 designs-red, yellow, purple, and pink. Then suddenly, you think of your 4 best friends that you want to share the purse with." It's confusing because it sounds like you are sharing with 3 three other people because you are buying one for you. The word sharing was really confusing. But others were pretty good!
