Equation #1

8 comments:

  1. Mr. Jobe went shopping and bought shoes, three pairs of pants, and four shirts. Each pair of pants cost $30 more than the shoes, and each shirt that cost $19 more than the shoes. If the total cost of the pants and shirts are the same, how much does the shoes cost?

  2. This is a really good example!!!!!
I could think of the equation right after I read the question without looking at the equation on top of it. However, I think they can be more creative or maybe more fun by changing the items.

This was a pretty good word problem.
I don't have anything to say bad about, but I saw a lot of word problems that had Mr. Jobe in it, so you should have someone else as an example, to make it more creative.
    Other than that awesome.

  4. It was a very creative idea to bring up the subjects about shoes. But more importantly, it was VERY easy to capture the idea of what she was talking about.

  5. Spongebob went Christmas shopping and bought sunglasses, three pearl necklaces, and four seashells. Each necklace cost $30 more than the sunglasses, and each seashell cost $19 more than the sunglasses. If the total cost of the pearl necklaces and seashells are the same, how much do the sunglasses cost?
